Icecream Sundae

I've used a new little digi called 'Icecream Sundae' that I especially created for my ladies up at Crafters Digital Art Center, to make a card for Elenor. I ran a little mini competition this week in my group and all they had to do was guess what their Vickie Quickie for this fortnight was going to be. Below is the snippet that I shared with them, it's the very rough sketch that I did.

My handsome grandson Alex, picked out the winner for me. He looks at me silly sometimes with the little things I ask him to do.

I really can't get the hang of the corner and side punches. I can do them seperately but when it comes to actually trying to make them join up, I just don't seem to get a clean connection. More pratice is needed. I like the effect that they create and the one I used is called 'String Lace'. I did find that I had trouble trying to punch through the express blend paper as it's a lot thicker than the cardstock.
The digi was coloured with copics. The flavours of my 3 scoops of icecream are: sweet peppermint with choc chips, creamy vanilla and delicious strawberry. What would be the point of an icecream sundae if there wasn't plenty of whipped cream, thick chocolate topping, a sprinkle of nuts and to top that all off with ripe sweet cherries. Oh I almost forgot the most healthest part of this mouth watering delight would be the yummy banana. Just because there are two spoons in the glass banana split boat, doesn't mean that I was going to share it. *Laughs* Ok maybe I would.

As a special treat to all my blogging friends I'm making this digital available as a freebie download for a limited time. Click Here to pick up the 'Icecream Sundae' for yourself. Please if you use it, drop me a line, as I sure would like to see what you create.

Enjoy Life ~ it's way too short.

  1. The card is adorable! Thanks for the freebies at CDAC. Good to see you back creating! The secret to punching around the paper is the inch increments and doing the corners first. It helps if you turn the punch over so you can see what you are doing till you get the hang of it. "Hugs" Carol
