I've joined in the progressive Challenge that is being held at Crafters Digital Arts Center. They have started the kick off by giving us 6 digitals to play with and we have a month to use them in. This is my 4th digital that I've used for the progressive challenge and it's the gorgeous fan provided by Priscilla. You can find Priscilla's Store Here.
The card is going to my good friend Sharon for her upcoming Birthday this month. I decided to keep the fan digital simple and coloured in the little roses in a bright red and just a smidge of bright green for the leaves. I concentrated my shading in the areas of the ribbon and in the folds between each fan blade. The background paper was a digital creation and I faded the victorian lady with the fan into the paper. I did however add a touch of colour with copics to the little roses on her dress and hair.
I used antique lace under the bottom left hand corner and edged it with more soft and pretty antique ribbon. The little garden of flowers that is scattered over the lace is an assortment of different shades of pink and shaped buttons. I used a very small leaf punch to add in the greenery. To finish of the front I made a simple bow with the pink lace ribbon and topped it off with a matching button. I tied down the top right hand corner with a peel and stick corner embellishment.
Inside the little vellum envelope is a small bag of the tiny leaves that I punched out to give to Sharon. The center section does flip and behind it is room for a personal little message. I brought the little button flower from the cover into the inside to decorate the little lift tab.
Wish you a very Happy Birthday Sharon and your card is almost in the post.
