Progressive Challenge CDAC project 6

This delighful little digital is called Olly in the Tub and was designed by Annie of Annie's Digital Art. (I will add the link to Annie's site when it become available). She is my last of the freebies that we were given in the Progressive Digital Challenge currently running at CDAC.
I remembered seeing where Jacq had written in my forum group that she would like a snow globe and as she is celebrating a birthday this month I thought this little digital would be perfect. The digital was printed out with the cirle around it and the snow globe base. I then coloured it with copics, added a glitter outter ring and flooded the area with 'Inkssentials' glossy accents within the top circle. It did take a while to dry as it was such a large area and I did apply the gloss very thickly. I hoped to achieve a snow globe appearance with depth. I had the cut out shape mounted with foam striped onto a larger piece of paper, which I then tore away when dry.
On the cover you will see I sewed on a triangle of blue lace to the top left hand corner to represent sky. The little butterfly is by the team at Petaloo from their 'Colour Me Crazy' range and it was also coloured with copics. Before glueing on the snow globe I added the little swing tag with my sentiment using twine. The little decorated corners with flowers will join in to completed the arrangement inside when it is folded up to stand.
The sky folds out of sight and the snow globe becomes the feature of the card when it is opened up and then anchored behind the Petaloo arrangement. I used 3 different peel and stick gold embellishment to enhance the bottom of the card. The little pink pearls were a finishing touch to the standing card.
When the card is opened up to reveal the hidden sections, this is where I added the lace again and my birthday wishes to Jacq. Enjoy your card Jacq when it arrives.

  1. I just love your cards Vickie, I love the globe and how you and the butterfly and the way you have tied the tag around the globe. Brilliant. Oh then it goes into a twisted easel card, which is magic, how clever are you??? The inside is just as beautiful if not more than the outside. Fantabulous girl...
