April May ATC's

The trouble with having multiple blogsites and especially when the names are so simular is that your bound to get the posts mixed up and it happened to me this week. I only just realized that my post 'My Boss Turns 60' is on my shopping cart blogsite and not here on my personal bits and pieces that I share. I made a card for my boss and if you'd like to read more about it then please click HERE!

Moving On! For todays post I'm sharing with you a group photo of the ATC's that I had to get made for my group committments. I quickly grabbed this photo as I rushed out the door for this morning ATC swap with the Westfield ladies.

Top Left: 2 ATC's the wonderful digital was provided by Paper Cupcakes for one of her past challenges. I still have this image coloured 6 more times and will just make them up as I need a special ATC. I gave one to Kyla who is celebrating her birthday this month and the other one went to Emma as an IOU.

Top Middle: Westfield swap with the theme 'Hot'. I was stuck on this one for so long with many different ideas popping into my head over the month. Nothing sparked more than a passing thought, until I shouted myself pizza this week. Right there on the pizza box was this black dot with the word 'Hot' glowing. Next day I'm back at the pizza hut asking to purchase just 12 pizza boxes. The young guy looked at me strangely and I tried to explain why I needed the boxes. I shouldn't have bothered as I think I only confused the situation as he offered me just the dot. Hmmm, No thanks I really need the whole box so that I can cut out a little 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" ATC card. He just shrugged and got me the boxes. It's simple I know but effective and when I showed the girls today how the dot worked, impressive, like a magic dot all of their own. *Smiles*

Top Right: Full Sleeve theme 'Architecture'. Many possiblities with this theme and the first ones that came to mind were: house design floor plans, famous historical building, stained glass arches and furniture. However what I settled on was the 3 little pigs. I adore the moral behind this famous nursery tale and the first 2 little pigs attempts at building a home for themselves. The staw is staw which I've tied into a little bundle, the sticks are from my garden and the bricks are made out of an old sandpaper disc cut up. On the back of the ATC is a line drawing of the wolf, huffing and puffing.

Bottom Left: Showing 3/4 of the ATC's I made using my newest digital pack of 'Baby Animals 2'. I used these 3 as my free swap cards. The one that is missing is the baby hippo and I'm giving that to a lady at work. I used her little hippo toy that she had sitting on her computer as my model for the quick sketch that I did at work during lunch break. She collects hippos so I thought she'd like this ATC as a thank you for letting me borrow her toy.

Bottom Middle: Full Sleeve theme 'Flight'. This is a digitally produced collage of flight related images. Birds, man in a flying contraption, shuttle and a airport arrival and departure sign layered over parts of it. I used 2 little pearls as my embellishment.

Bottom Right: Westfield Group theme 'Seven Deadly Sins'. I chose 'greed' to center this ATC around. All different sorts of money surround the woman inside the frame. The signpost shows all the the sins. Along the bottom is a glittery sticker and along the top (not to visible in photo) is a curtain of clear crackle.

Now I have to prepare myself for the next round.

  1. Oh my goodness Vickie, these are fabulous!! What utterly amazing ideas you came up with. The pizza box was pure inspiration...I can just imagine the look on the guys' face when you asked for the empty boxes. And of course your new little animals are just so adorable. And those 3 little pigs...what an incredible idea for architecture one. And they are just so cute. Now I know how you came up with the idea for the straw and sticks, but the old sandpaper disc cut up for the bricks was pure geneous! I have no idea where you came up with the pictures for the flight one and the 7 deadly sins, but they are incredible also. Ooops...I missed the flowers, they are stunning. I like the corregated paper that you added behind the images. Great coloring and I like the embellishment that you added.
