I attended a fun baby shower for a mate of ours due to deliver their little boy soon. I had heard that Tanya had chosen to go with a jungle theme for the baby's room and that the cot was painted orange. With that in mind I drew up this special little lion for her and created a jungle card for her. The digital stamp is coloured in copics (List of colours below) and the palm tree is created with layered pieces of paper. The trunk is a strip of embossed brown cardstock that I ripped into little squares and I glued them with the ripped side on the outter edge. The leaves are a roughly cut out wedge shape of green cardstock that I then cut at an upwards angle into little slithers. I used silver and green glitter pens on the palm tree just to help lift it a little off the page. The little tuff of grass is just a reshaped piece of the palm leaf that I cut off so that the card opened. I pop dotted up the sentiment in the speech bubble.
The little lion will become the first baby animal in a new digital set that I'm working on. 'Baby Animals 3'. I'll let you know when it becomes available in my store.
The inside of the card was signed by the 3 of us and I thought that adding the verse to the top left was a different approach to allow more room for leaving our personal messages to Tanya. We all used a differt glitter pen to write our message and it did look good. I was pleased with how my sewing turned out on this card. *Smiles*
I also made the colourful little bookets that held the party game sheets in. They were simple in design and each one was differt as I cut up all the colours and pieces needed and then mixed up the sections on assembly. I used the same ribbon that I used on her card to create a little ribbon pull on the top of the thank you from baby bookmark.
